After a 2-year hiatus, I think it's time to post a few fresh photos. We're traveling all winter this year, including stops in Colorado, Arizona, Hawaii, Oaxaca, and Thailand. But of all our travels, probably the most exciting is Myanmar, where we just spent the last couple weeks. My old friend Carl is currently living there and graciously served as our tour guide, showing us some of the more exciting and interesting spots in the country.

The trip also involved a couple extended layovers in Bangkok, where the warmth was a welcome change from Montana living

Then we went to the southern town of Dawei, where our friend Carl found these beach bungalows that were remote enough that they required flying into a tiny landing strip, followed by a 2+ hour taxi on bone-jarring roads, and finally (after the roads all ended) a hot and sandy hike over a ridgeline down to a most pristine coastline. They even had great food!

Mount Popa - the hike up was well worth the views! But beware of the thousands of aggressive monkeys who live here!
